Abstract
Four cases of grand mal seizures occurring in young aircrew personnel following prolonged stresses, especially sleep deprivation, have been presented. According to the electroencephalogram, it appears that the threshold of the centrencephalic system is lowered by these stresses, and that, in susceptible individuals, they can precipitate a grand mal seizure. Keywords
