Abstract
The reaction was studied at MeV by observing coincidences for particles emitted into the same solid angle. At MeV the reaction proceeds predominantly by a sequential process of Coulomb excitation of the 2.184-MeV, state, followed by breakup into and . When the strong dipole polarization of the projectile is taken into account, a is found, in good agreement with a recent () experiment.
