Abstract
Several groups of chimpanzee, mainly localized in West Ivorian Coast have been surveyed and explored during an eleven months fieldwork mission. Some groups of the Mt Nimba reserve, Mt Betro, Taï National Park, Monagaga protected forest have more deeply been studied, by ecological and ethological methods which permit us to show traditional variations in the nut cracking activity. Tool-making and tool-using anthropological dimension in a non-human primate allow us to requestion the earliest human artefacts, with new problematics. Keywords
