Abstract
Seven hundred Eskimo Scouts were examined. Dental caries means were high in men from the principal villages, low in men from remote areas. There was no relation between group caries means and group means for total plasma protein, hemoglobin, or ascorbic acid, or in urinary excretion of thiamine or riboflavin. Men in the high-caries villages were somehwat taller and heavier, were somewhat higher in serum carotene and serum vitamin A, and somewhat lower in urinary N[image]methylnicotinamide. This publication has 11 references indexed in Scilit:
