Abstract
A morphological study is presented of different types of skin tumors induced after repeated applications of polyoxyethylene sorbitan monostearate under various conditions. The tumors have been classified as papillomas, acanthomas, keratoacanthomas, benign adnexal tumors, squamous-cell carcinomas, and basal-cell carcinomas. Particular attention has been paid to the papillomas that regress; a series of papillomas studied before the time of maximum regression exhibited inflammatory changes that are described. Keywords
