Abstract
Of 8 sexually immature monkeys maintained on a folic acid-deficient, synthetic diet until evidence of dietary deficiency appeared, 6 failed to show the characteristic normal response to estrogen admn. Two control monkeys fed the same diet plus liver and 2 of the apparently deficient animals showed typical estrogen response to similar hormone treatment. Keywords
