Abstract
The chemical composition of the rhizome and root oils of Catimbium latilabre (Ridl.) Holtt. was investigated by GC and GC/MS. More than 40 and 30 constituents, respectively, were found to be present in the oils. The main components in the rhizome oil were 1,8-cineole (25.3%), linalool (10.9%) and carotol (9.2%), while the root oil contained mainly citronellol (30.7%) and 1,8-cineole (11.6%).Keywords
