Abstract
Pigmentation of strains of B. prodigiosum (S. marcescens) that have lost their ability to form visible pigment under ordinary conditions may be renewed by exposure to u.-v. light. Chlorophyll favors the pigmentation. Production of specific polysaccharide accompanies the production of pigment. Keywords
