Abstract
The use of silver sulphadiazine in the topical treatment of the burn wound in 169 patients has proved effective in decreasing the mortality and the eradication of infection, especially of Pseudomonas pyocyanea, from the burn wound. It also proves to be a relatively cheap method of treating the burn wound. Keywords
