Biological Activity of Diospyrin towards Ehrlich Ascites Carcinoma in Swiss A Mice

Abstract
Diospyrin, a bis-naphthoquinone derivative, has been identified as a biologically active principle present in the bark extract of Diospyros montana Roxb. which inhibited the in vivo growth of Ehrlich Ascites Carcinoma (E.A.C.), in Swiss A mice. A series of in vitro and in vivo investigations have been carried out to confirm this observation. 1 Ph. D. Dissertation (in part) of B. H.
