Abstract
m- and p-Hexadecyloxyphenylboronic acids (m-1 and p-1, respectively) selectively extract saccharides; the monolayer of m-1 at the air–water interface selectively responds to these saccharides, the order of the change in π–A isotherms being similar to that of the extractability. Keywords
