A female fraternal twin, who had severe growth retardation beginning in her seventh year, began to recover after entrance into a school environment. Physical, psychological, and social growth was reversed so that, at age 13, she was approximately equal to her twin brother in all respects. Psychosocial factors discovered in retrospect seemed related to recovery and are discussed.
