Abstract
Total L-shell x-ray production cross sections have been measured for thin solid targets of atomic number, Z2 = 31, 33, 34, 35 and 55 for 11H and 42He ions at the same energy/mass. Absolute cross sections and cross section ratios are compared to the theoretical predictions of the plane wave Born approximation and the perturbed stationary state theory with Coulomb deflection and an approximate relativistic correction. Keywords
