Abstract
A previously described method of obtaining an estimate of relative risk from routinely available data was applied to data on cigarette consumption and lung cancer mortality to test its validity. Some shortcomings of the method were noted and an alternative approach using weighted logistic regression gave results closer to those predicted on the basis of other studies, without the disadvantages of the original technique. This publication has 1 reference indexed in Scilit:
