Abstract
We investigate cochannel interference suppression with an adaptive antenna array for different interference power profiles, that is, dominant to the rest of the interference power ratios. Two interference estimation methods are compared from which the first makes use of the desired signal training sequence alone and the second requires also a knowledge of the interference training sequences. Simulations are performed with the known GSM typical urban channel model upgraded with angle of arrival information. Results show that both investigated methods are powerful in the presence of a dominant interfering signal. Keywords
