PAPILLOMATOSIS OF RESPIRATORY TRACT

Abstract
A case of recurrent papillomatosis of the larynx, trachea, and bronchi in an adult is described. Autopsy findings after a follow-up period of eight years revealed widespread changes throughout the entire respiratory tract and cystic lesions througout the lungs. There are certain features of this case that appear unique, namely, the onset in adult life and the apparent initial involvement of the lung, with secondary occurrence of papillomas of the larynx and trachea. Malignancy apparently supervened prior to death but remained localized to the lung.
