Abstract
It was found that poly‐e‐methylcaprolactam can exist both in the amorphous and in the ordered state. Amorphous poly‐e‐methylcaprolactam may be transformed to the ordered state by treatment with water. In the ordered state, poly‐e‐methylcaprolactam chains assume the B conformation. The conformational structure and state of order of various‐e‐methylcaprolactam‐caprolactam copolymers was determined. Keywords
