Abstract
Experimental results are reported regarding the multiple scattering of lithium ions with energies from 10 to 50 keV in carbon, aluminium, silicon, vanadium, chromium, iron, cobalt, and germanium. The targets consisted of thin self‐supporting foils 150 to 700 Å thick. The results of the scattering measurements agree satisfactorily with Meyer's theory of multiple scattering with regard to the dependence on the energy of the ions, foil thickness, and the form of the scattering distribution.
