Abstract
Insect embryology as a subject of valuable reaserch has extended over a period of years including the latter half of the last and the early part of the present centuries. Many forms have already been described yet each new one reveals similarities and differences that contribute more and more toward a clearer and more comprehensive understanding of the whole field of embryology. Among Diptera, species of Chironomus (15), (34), (37), (44); Simulium (27), (33); Tanypus (15); Musca (4), (7), (29), (43), (44); Cecidomyia (32), (33); Miastor (24b); Lucilia (7), (36), (9); CalliPhora (36), (9); and DrosoPhila (23) have all attracted the attention of embryologists. Keywords
