Abstract
The measurements of magnetic susceptibility have been done for liquid Se – Te, Se – Tl, and Se – Ge mixtures up to 1000 °C. The number of the broken bonds per mole and the energy required to break a chain are deduced as functions of temperature and solute concentration. The modification of the chain structure of liquid Se by the addition of Te, Tl, or Ge is discussed. Keywords
