Abstract
The S/Z ratio—a score related to the normal versus pathological condition of the larynx—was tested for reliability on 78 elementary school children who had normal voices. All children participated in a test-retest procedure, conducted by two speech clinicians in counterbalanced order. Results indicated no significant difference between the test-retest scores nor between scores from the two clinicians. In addition, the overall prolongation times for phonemes were not related to the S/Z values. Keywords
