Abstract
Summary, The points of a Poisson point process in R3 are taken as centres of spheres the diameters of which are equal to the corresponding nearest neighbour distances. Its planar section produces a system of circles. Formulae are given for fundamental characteristics of the systems of spheres and circles, in particular the pair correlation function of the planar point process of circle centresKeywords
