Abstract
SUMMARY: The vertical and horizontal distribution on the shore and the distribution between the host shell species, is described for a number of species of green shell-boring algae. A list is given of the records made in Britain for shell-boring Codiolum stages and for Entocladia perforans. An account is given of the sequence in which shell-boring algae attack Spirorbis worm tubes in the Isle of Man.Keywords
