Abstract
The presence of glycogen and phosphorylase has been demonstrated in corpora lutea from rat (superovulated rat ovaries) and cow. In vivo administration of LH to pseudopregnant rats caused a significant increase in the activity of the luteal phosphorylase, and a slightly significant loss of total glycogen. The results are discussed in relation to the Haynes-Berthet theory of the activation of steroidogenesis by pituitary tropic hormones. (Endocrinology76: 390, 1965)Keywords
