Abstract
Cerebral blood flow and cerebral O2 consumption were not altered in patients with hypertension associated with heart failure. When these patients were treated for heart failure there were no observed alterations in cerebral hemodynamics. Cerebral blood flow was depressed in 6 other patients who had heart failure associated with aortic insufficiency or mitral stenosis. The nitrous oxide technique was employed. Keywords
