Abstract
The vitamin B12 activity of 5, 6-dimethylbenzimidazolylcobamide coenzyme, was assessed in the young chick. Vitamin B12 and the coenzyme were equally effective in supporting growth of chicks up to 4 weeks of age and in overcoming the impaired metabolism of formiminoglutamic acid that occurs in vitamin B12 deficient chicks. Keywords
