Abstract
The CHCl3 extract of Pseudomonas aeruginosa UI 29791 cultures afforded a novel fluorescent compound, aeruginol [1]. The structure of 1 was elucidated by spectroscopic methods, including uv, eims, cims, hreims, and 1H nmr. Aeruginol appears to be biosynthetically related to aeruginoic acid. Keywords
