13CNMR , GC and GC/MS analysis of the steam distillate from leaves and stems of alfavaca, Ocimum gratissimum, from the Brazilian Amazon resulted in the identification of methyl eugenol (46.83%) and eugenol (19.26%) as the main components, and another 34 compounds, mainly monoterpene and sesquiterpene hydrocarbonsKeywords
