Surgical anatomy of the sphenoid sinus

Abstract
Surgical anatomy of the [human] sphenoid sinus was studied. The sphenoid sinus was classified, from a practical point of view, into presellar and postsellar types, according to variations in its posterior limits. Dimensions and size of the sinus were measured and its relationships were verified and discussed, laying stress on their surgical importance.
