Abstract
The system of a finite superconductor S1 in proximity with a weaker superconductor S2 is considered. The order parameter is assumed to vary in space as Δ1cos[q(zD)] (0zD) in S1, and as Δ2cosh[K(z+L)] (Lz0) in S2. The Bogoliubov-deGennes equations were solved for the two regions: z<0. The transition temperature Tcvs of the system is evaluated for the case where S2 is a thick normal layer. The dependence of TcNS on the thickness D is in agreement with experimental results.
