Extent of Parotid Disease Influences Outcome in Patients With Metastatic Cutaneous Squamous Cell Carcinoma

Abstract
METASTATIC CUTANEOUS squamous cell carcinoma (SCC) represents the most common parotid gland malignancy in Australia. This is because cutaneous malignancy is very common in Australia, with about 20% of skin cancers being SCCs and many of these arising on the skin of the head and neck. Regional nodes are involved in approximately 1% to 5% of cases.1-3
