Abstract
Ozone absorption spectra near 1 μm exhibit fine structure indicative of rotational subbands, suggesting that the upper electronic state is metastable. Preliminary analysis supports a previous assignment to the 3A2←1A1 transition. A binding energy of ∼0.1 eV is inferred from the breakoff in the observed structure. Keywords
