Impact of a Continuing Education Program in Cancer Nursing Part I: Results Affecting Patient Care

Abstract
Data collected from 250 registered nurses who completed a variety of cancer nursing educational programs offered over a three-year period are presented. Demographic information, goals for clinical practice development and generalizability of skills to noncancer patients are presented with implications for future programs and curriculum development. This is part one of a two-part article. Part two will appear in the May/June issue.
