Abstract
The complex [PtMe(dppa)(PPh2O)], dppa = Ph2PNHPPh2, which contains chelating dppa and P-bonded diphenylphosphinito ligands, is formed as an insoluble complex on hydrolysis of [PtMe2(dppa)] or by reaction of [PtMe2(dppa)] with Ph2PH(O); the complex undergoes self-assembly by intermolecular hydrogen bonding NHOP to form molecular hexagons, that further pack with a hexagonal motif in the crystal lattice. Keywords
