Menarcheal timing and the long‐term persistence of fatness levels

Abstract
As shown for 12,376 women participants in two different survey studies, fatness levels are directly and inversely related to reported menarcheal ages even in octogenarians. With due correction for the secular or generational trend in menarcheal timing, the present data would suggest long term persistence ("channelization") of fatness levels.Keywords
