Abstract
Na and Ca salts of penicillin, 150-300 units per mg. in cottonseed oil, were given orally in gelatin capsules with 10,000, 25,000 or 50,000 units per capsule. Blood and urinary penicillin levels were tested over an 8-hr. period following a single dose of 90,000 units to an 86 kg. man. Blood levels of 0.05, 0.04, 0.04, 0.02 and 0.0 units of penicillin per ml. were obtained from the 1, 2, 4, 6 and 8-hr. bleedings. The blood levels vary in diff. diseases and with diff. individuals. This publication has 6 references indexed in Scilit:
