Abstract
The papers in this issue represent a synthesis of cognitive, social, and emotional domains. Three points are made to address central issues. First, it is still useful to think in stage terms as well as in contextual terms since the researcher can learn more when using two different sorts of “lenses.” Second, we need to clarify the levels on which we pose our questions to effectively get the whole story. Third, we need to operate in a systems theory framework to make overall sense of social cognitive behavior. It is sug‐gested that individuals co‐create social cognitive Truth with one another. Keywords
