Abstract
18 children, age one to seven, who had never been vaccinated against smallpox, were inoculated with 1 or 2 injections of Herrlich''s formolinized vaccinia vaccine. Serum samples obtained 2-3 weeks after the last injection were devoid of neutralizing antibodies when tested on the chorion of developing hens''s eggs.
