Abstract
On heating mixtures of a platinum metal with an alkali carbonate in different ratios and at different temperatures in an oxygen stream, two kinds of compounds are formed:(1) the cubic compounds NaxPt3O4 and NaxPd3O4,and(2) a series of oxide complexes with compositions ABO2 or A2BO3, both isomorphous with Na2SnO3.Keywords
