Abstract
The frequency response characteristics of 2 types of miniature strain-gage pressure transducers were determined. Cantilever-beam transducers showed a linear response to frequencies up to 180 cycles/sec. Diaphragm transducers were linear to 25-30 cycles/sec. Since it appears that 10 cycles/sec. is the maximum fundamental frequency of lingual pressure waves even during rapid speech, response in the 25-30 cycles/sec, range gives an adequate safety factor for studies of tongue movements and pressures. This publication has 0 references indexed in Scilit:
