Abstract
Analysis of 5,075 cord IgM levels according to birth weight shows an increase in the 97th percentile of about 0.5 mg/100 ml with every 200 gm increase in birth weight above the 1,800 gm level. Cord IgM levels of infants weighing less than 1,800 gm are generally below 8.9 mg/100 ml which is significantly lower than the mean cord IgM level of 13.8 mg/100 ml for the group as a whole. Keywords
