Abstract
A number of molecular laser lines in Na2 around 800 nm have been observed by collisional energy transfer. Two-photon pumping of 5s and 4d levels of Na was employed to stimulate the A-X laser transitions. The processes responsible for the energy transfer are discussed. A small signal gain coefficient is calculated and compared with the measured value. Keywords
