Fibrinolysis and Hemorrhages in Fatal Heatstroke

Abstract
IN fatal heatstroke widespread hemorrhages are a constant finding. This fact has been emphasized by many authors.1 2 3 4 5 6 Malamud et al.2 analyzed the autopsy material of 125 cases of heatstroke and found multiple hemorrhages in 122, particularly in the central nervous system, heart, lungs, liver and kidneys. The mechanism of these hemorrhagic phenomena has been variously explained.
