Abstract
The structure of the pi NN, pi N Delta and pi Delta Delta vertices is investigated in a microscopic model. Besides the inclusion of a consistent set of diagrams in lowest order, higher-order corrections from the strongly dominating pi rho triangle diagram are included by solving a set of coupled integral equations, thereby allowing for the excitation of nucleonic and isobaric intermediate states. The resulting cut-off masses in a monopole parametrisation are >or=8mpi for the pi NN and >or=6mpi for the pi N Delta vertex. Keywords
