In vitro Inhibition of Growth of M. tuberculosis by Certain 11-Oxygenated Steroids

Abstract
Hydrocortisone and corticosterone in a concentration of 100 μg/ml markedly inhibit growth of isoniazid sensitive and resistant strains of tubercle bacilli grown in a simple synthetic culture medium. Ten and 20 μg/ml produce slight slowing of growth in some strains.
