Abstract
During an all-sky redshift survey of IRAS galaxies, we have discovered a very unusual quasar (IRAS source 07598+6508). The optical spectrum is dominated by extremely strong F II emission, roughly an order of magnitude stronger than that seen in so-called strong F II emitters. There seems to exist a very small class of super-strong F II emitters. Current photo-ionization models do not readily account for the extreme properties of these objects. Keywords
