Abstract
The proteins of purified enterovirus type 70 grown in [human] rhabdomyosarcoma cells and the intracellular proteins at 4-5 h after infection were examined by polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis. Virions contained 4 proteins: P-1 (35,000, daltons) P-2 (28,000, daltons) P-3 (27,000 daltons) and P-4 (9000 daltons). Addition of ZnCl2 to infected cultures inhibited virus plaque development and interfered with post-translational cleavage. This publication has 15 references indexed in Scilit:
