Action of Suxamethonium on Ptosis Due to Thrid-nerve Palsy

Abstract
In oculomotor paralysis suxamethonium produces retraction of the ptotic eyelid. It is suggested that this is due to contracture of the smooth muscle in the levator palpebrae superioris even though this muscle is normally innervated by the sympathetic.Keywords
