Abstract
Some methodological problems posed by previous research on the relationships between dreams and memory have led us to develop a set of procedures for comparing two successive reports of the same dream. Based on Foulkes' Scoring System for Latent Structure, these procedures are: (a) a series of indices of structural organization calculated for each report; (b) digraphs from the two reports which are superimposed to show the additions, conservations, and omissions in each report; (c) for the elements conserved across reports, an analysis of the transformations effected on them; (d) an analysis of the transformations effected on the motivational structure of the two reports. Keywords
