Abstract
The polarization parameter in elastic proton-proton scattering has been measured using an unpolarized proton beam and a polarized proton target. Measurements were taken at laboratory kinetic energies of 328, 614, 679, and 736 MeV in the angular regions from 33 to 110 degress center-of-mass. The results indicate that the maximum polarization at a given energy increases in the region from 328 to 679 MeV. At 328 MeV the results are in good agreement with those of a previous experiment at 315 MeV performed by the double-scattering technique. Keywords
